Today my hike led to an unexpected critter.

It has been quite some time since I have seen an otter at this park. The park has walking paths, bike trails and lots of noisy people. The otters in this area are very shy and usually when I do see one it is running between ponds.

The last time I saw one and attempted a shot with my DSLR camera the otter was alerted by the shutter click and headed off into the woods. This time though I was taking my hike with a smaller lighter camera that is very quiet. I watched the otter foraging for a few minutes and was able to capture a few shots before being discovered by the otter.
