I played around with the flowers and the lighting, so that was a good way to educate myself.

mapplethorpe is a great inspiration to me (too), especially his flower shots. beautifully done taking out some saturation here.

when I visit photography blogs I like to enlarge the photo if possible…I see so much more that way…the texture of the flower, the water droplets, the tiny variations of colour in the petals…excellent!
