Yes, In the color version the Grebe got lost in a sea of green. For this very reason I have been teaching my students to discern whether a photo has more impact in B&W vs Color.
Excellent. It is so easy to check if using Lightroom. The letter “V” on your keyboard turns the image to B & W when in the Development mode.
Looking at something and being confident it will look better in B & W is a challenge and requires time to learn. I sometimes set my camera to take both color and B & W. After taking the picture I can see it in B & W on my screen.
Thanks for the feedback. I sometimes set my camera to do B&W to and the great part is that when the raw file is imported it has all the color info in it as well. Todays cameras are such amazing creative tools.
