To be in the moment is the only place that is real, the past is gone and future is but a dream.
The results or lack of results obtained in my photos has been determined in the moment for as a nature photographer that indeed is all you ever have.
When I go out and shoot my mind is not cluttered by what may or may not happen. I simply stand in the place where I am and be. There is no forcing, for I cannot will the clouds to move or the sun to rise or set slower or even the wind or rain to cease. Simple acceptance of where I am at the moment is the only way to peace.
The photo above was shot facing south, an example of natures glorious palette of colors that constantly changes from one moment to the next.

What is different between these photos besides the direction, composition and capture time?
