New OnOne Perfect Photo Suite 8 Public Beta

I have been using OnOne Software for about 2-years now and absolutely love it! The company has always been quick to respond if there was an issue, the support is second to none and they have free online training videos.

I was invited a few months ago to be a private beta tester by the nice folks at OnOne Software and now that the public beta is available I can now talk about Perfect Photo Suite 8. Let me tell you it is a great all around easy, intuitive solution for allot more than just post processing, works with Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Lightroom, Aperture, and as a standalone application.

In the latest Version Perfect Photo Suite 8 “which is available currently as a Public Beta” or Pre-order Perfect Photo Suite 8 Premium Edition today and get the Essential Video Guide for Perfect Photo Suite 8 ($40 value) for FREE! Both will deliver when they become available in late November 2013. New customers will also receive a copy of Perfect Photo Suite 7 immediately. *Please go here for up to date offers and details from OnOne

The first feature that is totally AWESOME is the Perfect Erasure tool in the Enhance Module, let me say when you have an image that has a piece of trash i.e. bright green plastic soda bottle that you failed to notice as you snapped your beautiful beach scene 😦

Not a problem, with perfect erasure you simply brush over it and poof it is gone 🙂

It does Layering in “Perfect Layers” which works fantastic here are two examples from previous posts the first is a photo composite of Three beautiful butterflies (Image 1 ) and (Image 2 ) a Tri-Color  Heron which in that image I replaced a dull grey sky.

*Note these two Images were done in PPS Version 7.5

The other module that I use the most in my workflow is “Perfect Effects” mainly because it is so quick and easy. Below is an example of a photo from a previous post which was processed in the PPS 8 Beta Version. (Image 3)

The other Module that they have is the “Browse Module” you can search easily and quickly for images across your entire file system.

Here is a screen shot.

That’s all for now gonna get out and shoot some photos this morning as it is nice and cool here in Florida right now.

If you have any questions or comments let me know.

Remember, the only dumb question is the one that goes unasked for it will forever remain unanswered.

  1. Sounds like interesting software…I’ve used Picasa, Gimp(which I didn’t like at all) and Photoscape…Photoshop or any of the other software is a bit too pricey for me. I like Photoscape but it is limiting…it is free so I can’t complain. I checked out the links and will keep this in mind when I’m in the market for new photo software as the price is not bad!
By the way…I like your last statement regarding questions…I always told my children there is never a dumb question…always annoyed me when people would say “that is a dumb question”…if you don’t know the answer how can the question be dumb? 🙂

    • I used GIMP for awhile but after I downloaded the trial a couple years ago I was hooked. Plus the online help is awesome and they send you great presets about once a month for FREE 🙂
      Have a great week!

  2. Does it support RAW files? I recently purchased a Nikon D7100 and my PS4 does not support the RAW files for this camera.

  3. I just pre-ordered version 8. I used version 7.5 for the first time this past week. I’m amazed at well it works. I still need to practice with it some more, but I’m really enjoying it :-). Your pictures you used as examples are beautiful!
