Today I visited McKee Botanical Gardens in Vero Beach FL as they were hosting a Chevy Corvette Exhibition. This was the first time I went to McKee and did not know what to expect. I learned from a previous British Motor car exhibition I attended in Jupiter FL you better get there when the gates open. Why? Well it soon fills up with people and it is extremely challenging to photograph the cars not to mention the light is typically terrible. Within about 15 minutes of my entering McKee the place was jam-packed so I did the best I could with the situation.
Here are some photos of these iconic machines from a time before Air bags, crumple zones and collapsible steering columns.
Oh yeah, almost forgot about the painted metal unpadded dashboards.

That is neat! Great pics of the cars – sorry to have missed it we are going tomorrow 😦

I was a crazy person not to have been into photography when we owned a nice collection of collectible corvettes. One of them was the classic 1960 red/white convertible. Miss them, but don’t miss the maintenance.
