The South Florida Fair runs from Jan 18-Feb 3 and has all that one expects from a fair and a bit more. One of the permanent areas of the fair is a Florida Historic themed area in which they have Historic buildings and events. One of the events we attended was The Hitchiti Dancers, performing their interpretations of Native American style dances. The dancers perform in beautiful ceremonial attire as a narrator explains the symbolism and meaning of each dance. Wonderful, energetic and very colorful.

Then it was off to the sites and sounds of county fair games, rides, bric a brac for sale and of course tons up on tons of food. I ate before I went to avoid temptation, excess calories and a greasy camera.
