Yes I shoot RAW and usually use Canon Gear but I have been trying out a Sony a6000.
So far I like it my only complaint is battery life and affordable lenses.
I will do a post of my experience with the camera later on my other site photographersevolution.wordpress.com
I’m using one too at the moment Steve! I have been using Sony for years but when one of the older bodies gave out I decided to try Mirrorless. Couldn’t afford the a7rII so starting out with the 6000. I got a couple of lenses in the package and I really like the 75-210 but the 16-50 isn’t great. I would like to get a wide-angle prime for it but I will also get the adapter so I can use the A mount lenses that I already have. I’ll certainly be interested to read your blog on it 🙂 I must say, I got two batteries when I bought the kit as I had read that battery life wasn’t great. Already feel like I need a third and the external charger! Have you been using Adobe RAW or the Sony RAW software?
I think I will go with the Sony made lenses. The 16mm pancake lens is really appealing and they have a 30mm macro which I quite like the look of too. Massive Samyang range available now really specialising in fisheye and videography!
Steve, what a stunning capture. Right on focus and the catch light in the eye is right on.

I was a little concerned it was so dark and it was shot at very high ISO

Do you shoot in RAW? You’ve managed to retain great detail in the features 🙂

I will probably get the Sigma 19 and 30mm f2.8 prime lenses for my kit.
To process I use Adobe LR6 and it has no issues processing the Sony Raw files.
