I have just embraced the concept of using flash and the versatility it can bring to capturing a subject even in bright ambient light. This photo was shot on a pond at 11am, using my camera and flash in Manual mode. The key is to remember that your shutter speed controls the ambient light and your aperture setting controls the amount of Flash Light. The photo was processed in Lightroom with only cropping and some minor adjustment to Exposure.
